Gallipoli Monologues (sneak peek)
Mon, 25 April 2022
Venue: "The Theatre", 21 Boyd Rd, Waihi
Times: 6.30pm
Cost: Koha (donation)
A sneak peek at the ‘Gallipoli Monologues’ being developed by professional actor Mark Wright on ANZAC DAY, April 25th, 6.30pm at The Theatre. .
Professional actor Mark Wright gives voice to the many faces of Gallipoli in a WORLD PREMIERE. His great grandfather was the proprietor of the Rob Roy Hotel in Waihi and two of his great uncles left from there to serve in Gallipoli so it’s an era he’s keenly interested in. He’s developing a one-man show looking at Gallipoli through the eyes of those it affected. He’d really love to show you his progress so far and get some feedback on what you think and any comment you might have on historical accuracy etc.
A performance by Mark is always a treat so we encourage you to go along and enjoy some fantastic theatre with the opportunity to contribute to the play’s development. Entry is by Koha (donation) and refreshments will be served afterwards.
No vaccine pass is required at The Theatre and, as the country is now in an Orange traffic light setting, masks are encouraged but not mandatory. We hope to see you at The Theatre in Boyd Road soon.
