Auditions for All Together Now!

Venue: Boyd Road Theatre, Waihi

Be part of a global event celebrating local theatre. Over the weekend of Nov 12-15, 2021, more than 1600 groups in 36 different countries will be taking part in a musical revue. Performers of all ages will sing, play, and maybe even dance their way through musical numbers from shows such as Mamma Mia!, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, Les Miserables, My Fair Lady and Hairspray.

The concert’s focus is on the music so the songs may be presented in an entirely new way. For example, a song that’s usually performed by a young girl may end up being sung by a barbershop quartet. You can choose to audition on their own, as a duo or a group, or as part of a community group.

Auditions will be held:

Thursday September 16th from 5pm to 8pm
Saturday September 18th from 10am to 4pm

Once your audition slot is booked, you’ll will be invited to download a rehearsal app if you wish to practice a particular song (or songs) prior to auditions. You can, however, choose to perform a different piece if you wish.

Rehearsals will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings with Sunday afternoons a possibility as the concert date gets closer. Each song will be rehearsed individually so no-one is expected to attend every rehearsal.

Our interim songlist is below BUT if there is an audition for one of the other allowed songs that blows us away, we’re prepared to revisit it.
